We’ve all been there: a destination URL’s tracking parameters are not any longer accurate and that we got to change it but we don’t want to sacrifice data, positioning, click-through rate, etc. we’ve hung out collecting. But it’s the sole choice if you would like to vary an ad’s URL besides pausing the ad and creating a replica , which may cause tons of clutter if you would like to vary dozens of ads.
Luckily, that problem will soon be obsolete!
Google AdWords is updating Destination URLs to Upgraded Final URLs which can have a destination URL then a separate field for any tracking parameters you would like to incorporate . Changing parameters (at any level except the ad level) won't alter the ad history and data or re-submit the ad for a Google review. Thanks to Google!
What Was a Destination URL?
Currently, Destination URLs include the landing page URL and any tracking parameters you select to incorporate within the same field. The landing page URL is that the page people see in their browsers once they click on your ad.
The tracking section after the landing page URL includes redirects, dynamic keywords, tracking parameters, etc. Currently, if you would like to vary tracking information you've got to vary the Destination URL then the stats you've got accumulated for that text ad are reset.
In addition, whenever your Destination URL is modified , your ad is re-reviewed by Google. Until Google approves your updated Destination URL, your ads won't run, which could cause you lost business and lost time.
What is an Upgraded Final URL?

An Upgraded URL will have the Destination URL and therefore the tracking information in separate fields. You'll be ready to update tracking information without resetting data or having your Destination URL re-reviewed. You'll be ready to change the tracking information at the account, campaign, or ad group level.

What Does it Mean on behalf of me and How Does This Work?
Soon, once you enter your AdWords account and make a replacement ad you'll see the choice to settle on a Final URL (Also called an Upgraded URL) or a Destination URL (which are going to be phased out soon, so you would possibly also start choosing Final URL now and cash in of the new possibilities).
The Final URL will act an equivalent as a Destination URL unless you select the Ad URL options (advanced) button, which exposes tracking template and custom parameter options. The tracking and other custom parameters are often wont to customize information you would like to watch like locations, values, keywords, etc in Google Analytics.
These parameters and tracking options are often customized at the account, campaign, ad group, or ad level. You'll learn more about all the chances with tracking and custom parameters here.
